At La Mar Salada, we run our own psychomotor programme, which takes place daily outdoors and involves fun motor activities.
Among our objectives, we highlight the following:
-Supporting psychological development through the body, action, play and movement.
-Guiding children from the pleasure of thinking to the pleasure of doing.
-Enhancing communication through the body language, posture, and movement.
-Inspiring the creation of play situations, using objects.
-Fostering a sense of security and self-confidence.
-Developing symbolic thinking through the joy of doing, playing and creating.
Through this project, we offer children the opportunity to have a wide range of experiences that help form mental representations. These, in turn, support the building of creative connections with the world around them.
We want our children to experience movement deeply, so that they can later apply strategies that support the transition from physical experience to abstract thought.
We want our schools to be places of emotion, communication, and development, environments that provide emotional security, where children feel the excitement of discovery and are prepared to explore and learn.
